ALSHP Fall Meeting Changed to Virtual Format

In light of the current surge in COVID-19 cases and the pervasive nature of the Delta variant, the Board of Directors of ALSHP has voted to cancel the in-person 2021 ALSHP Annual Clinical Meeting scheduled for November 4-5, 2021. Other in-person events have been suspended as well.  A virtual format is now being planned.

ALSHP regards the health and safety of our members, speakers, staff, and other meeting attendees as our highest priority. As a health care organization, ALSHP understands that our members are on the front-line providing direct patient care during this surge. The Board recognizes that an in-person meeting would take our members away from patient care and risk unnecessary exposure that might later impact not only the health of our attendees and their families, but also their patients.

The revised agenda will include four hours of continuing education (planned) as well as our annual business meeting, officer installation, award presentations, and the introduction of the newest Fellows of ALSHP (FALSHP).

The Alabama Residency Showcase will be moved to a virtual format on November 4th and 5th at 2-5 PM CT.  Career-focused student programming will be presented virtually on November 3rd from 4 until 6 PM CT.

More information will be forthcoming as it becomes available.
