Target Audience: Pharmacists

Pharmacist's Objectives:

• Identify and differentiate presentations of serotonin syndrome (SS) vs. neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS)
• Create a supportive or medication related treatment plan for a patient with NMS or SS

• Discuss proposed mechanisms of cefepime-induced neurotoxicity

• Design recommendations for or against cefepime based on patient specific factors

• Identify risk factors for cefepime-induced neurotoxicity

• Assess available literature on cefepime-induced neurotoxicity

Pharmacist Credit Alabama Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Proof of participation will be posted to your NABP CPE profile within 4 to 6 weeks to participants who have successfully completed the requirements.
