Learning Objectives (Pharmacists):

• Describe the mechanism of action of each class of antiretroviral agents.
• Identify safety and toxicity concerns of individual antiretroviral agents in pregnancy.
• Discuss preferred antiretroviral regimens in pregnancy.
• Discuss empiric HIV therapy options for neonates at a higher risk for perinatal HIV transmission.

Learning Objectives (Pharmacy Technicians):

• Recognize antiretroviral agents used for HIV management during pregnancy.
• Identify medications that may be administered to neonates to prevent perinatal HIV transmission.
