Our residents are not included either for the reasons you mentioned.

Our residents do not participate in annual employee performance evaluations. We treat them as 1 year contracts so if has no bearing on them. Even if retained, they wouldn't do one as they are somewhat treated as a new employee and would then be included after their first official hire date as a pharmacist.

Our residents are not included in the hospital's annual evaluations for the reasons you stated.  The hospital also requires a minimum of one year employment before they are included in the annual evaluations.

    Hello all,

Do your residents participate in your hospital's annual employee performance evaluation process? If so, who completes the supervisor evaluation (e.g., RPD, clinical manager, pharmacy director)?

My supervisor has asked for our residents to participate, and I have always argued against this in the past due to the frequency of residency evaluations and lack of impact the company-wide process has on them. I am curious how others handle this.

    Thanks,

    Sarah
