Preceptor Hours Documentation

    Hey,

    I will not say I have found an efficient way to do this. I have made a recurring calendar appointment on Friday's for our preceptors with a link to a google form. I then transfer that data from the google form onto an Excel sheet and break it down by week and let it tally the total hours. I wish I knew of a better way to do it. I have asked our medical residency what they do but they apparently do not need to track preceptor hours. Would be happy to share more if you needed any information.

    I'd like to know if anyone has found a successful way to accurately track preceptor time. We've been using Excel - which in reality results in dumping documentation of large blocks of time, usually per rotation, but sometimes longer stretches.

    I have heard of programs utilizing automated features within Microsoft to deliver weekly forms via email that export to Excel. I have no practical knowledge of how to implement and am wondering if anyone is successfully using this technology or something else.
