Alabama Society of Health-System Pharmacists
I did not realize there was this change. Not a fan, but I am with Josh. We will keep it the same this year and see how it goes.
Hey Sarah!
I don't think I will change anything this year (may just have to see how it goes). We generally score our reference letters on a 0-10 score then avg the 3 letters. This plan may change as we actually start going through the process but I think for now, we would continue with our current rubric. I'm curious to hear how anyone else is looking at approaching this.

All,
I am trying to wrap my head around the functionality of the new PhORCAS reference form. I have attached it in case you haven't seen it.
There are additional rating categories on the individual characteristics, but all comment boxes have been removed from this section. Narrative comment boxes are available, but they are essentially limited to comparison to other candidates, 2 strengths, and 2 weaknesses. There is an option to attach a separate recommendation letter.
My questions are:
Are you making any changes to your screening rubrics based on the new reference form? How is your approach going to change as a reference writer?
Thanks in advance!
