Resident and New Practitioners Committee

Purpose: Support programming and services for resident pharmacists; provide programming of special interest to new practitioners; foster relationships among new practitioners and encourage their integration into membership roles within ALSHP
Main Functions: Host the Alabama Residency Conference (ARC). Coordinate new practitioner programming at Annual meetings.Maintain a current list of residency program directors/contacts

Purpose:
Support programming and services for student pharmacists; Support and interface with the ALSHP-affiliated SSHP at the Harrison College of Pharmacy (Auburn) and McWhorter School of Pharmacy (Samford)
Perform CE
Main Functions:
Coordinate with the Education Committee and meeting planners to provide student programming at other meetings, e.g., the Summer Meeting, or standalone student programs
CE at Summer Meeting is New Drug Update
Coordinate ALSHP-sponsored student awards
